We’re the ASN Team

Hi, we are Siraj, Akhil, and Nikhil — three friends and engineers who love building clean, fast, and thoughtful experiences for the web.

Move 1 Stick was born out of a simple frustration: most online matchstick math games felt outdated, slow, and full of repetitive, static levels. We set out to rebuild the concept from the ground up — making it modern, procedurally generated, and genuinely rewarding to play on any device.

Our Story

Turning a Classic Riddle into a Modern Game

I’m Siraj, the creator and founder of Move 1 Stick. Like a lot of people, I’ve always enjoyed pencil-and-paper matchstick riddles. But when I searched for digital versions to play online, every site I found had the same problems: clunky controls, blurry images, intrusive popups, and the exact same 10 puzzles repeated everywhere.

I wanted something different: a matchstick game that loads instantly, feels responsive to touch, and never runs out of puzzles. I spent weeks planning the mechanics, mapping out the 7-segment mathematical rules, and designing the look and feel.

Once the vision was clear, my close friends Akhil and Nikhil joined the project. Both are sharp B.Tech engineering students who brought serious coding discipline to the table. Together, we formed the ASN Team. We rebuilt the prototype into a complete, standalone game that runs entirely in your browser with zero latency.

The Hardworking Minds Behind the Project

We’re a small, independent team where everyone wears multiple hats. Here is how we divide our responsibilities to keep Move 1 Stick fast, stable, and fun:

Founder & Product Lead: Concept creator, game rules designer, UI/UX workflow, difficulty curve tuning, and creative direction.

Frontend & Operations: Responsive board layouts, mobile touch accuracy, UI bug fixes, and cross-browser performance tuning.

Nikhil

Core Engine & Logic: Equation validation algorithms, deterministic PRNG seed testing, state persistence, and mathematical verification.

Behind The Code

How We Built Move 1 Stick

We decided early on that this game shouldn't rely on bloated frameworks or external database calls. Every piece of Move 1 Stick was handcrafted for lightweight speed:

01

100% Procedural Generation

No static database of 20 puzzles. Our deterministic algorithm generates endless unique equations on the fly, proving each one solvable in exactly one legal move.

02

Pure SVG Matchsticks

Instead of blurry image files, every matchstick is drawn dynamically with vector math, gradients, and shadows for crisp rendering on high-DPI retina screens.

03

Synthesized Web Audio

No noisy audio clips to download. All sound effects and ambient chimes are synthesized directly in code using browser audio oscillators at a calm, unobtrusive volume.

04

Privacy by Default

We don't track your personal data, run background analytics, or require accounts. Your level, score, and preferences stay strictly saved in your own browser's local storage.

Our Design Philosophy

Harder Should Mean Smarter, Not Bigger

A trap that many puzzle games fall into is making higher levels harder simply by stretching equations across five lines with dozens of numbers. That makes a puzzle exhausting, not clever.

Our rule is simple: keep equations visually compact so they fit comfortably on mobile screens, but increase the reasoning required to solve them.

As you climb through Novice, Adept, Expert, and Grandmaster tiers, the puzzles become challenging because of subtle digit confusion, close near-miss equations, and clever wrong-move distractors — never because the equation got too long to read.

Thank You

Thanks for Playing Our Game

Whether you are playing Level 1 to relax during a break or pushing into triple-digit levels to test your pattern recognition, thank you for spending time with something we created.

Every solved puzzle and every word of feedback from our players motivates us to keep refining our code, tuning the engine, and building more fun digital experiences.
